How It Works

The stem is the most cost-effective fit adjustment on a bike. A 10mm stem change alters reach by about 10mm. Shorter stems (60-80mm) give quicker handling, ideal for MTB. Longer stems (100-130mm) stabilize road bikes. Stem angle affects bar height: negative angle = lower bars, positive = higher. If you need more than a 20mm change from stock, the frame may be the wrong size. Flip the stem (positive to negative or vice versa) for free height adjustment.
