How It Works
The LeMond method (inseam x 0.883) measures from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle. The Hamley method (inseam x 1.09) measures from the pedal at the bottom of the stroke to the saddle. Both aim for a knee angle of 25-35 degrees at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Too low = knee pain in front. Too high = rocking hips and pain behind the knee. Adjust by 2-3mm at a time and ride for a week before changing again.
