How It Works

Reach is the horizontal distance from the saddle to the handlebars. Drop is how far the bars sit below the saddle. Measure torso from the sternal notch (collarbone dip) to the pubic bone. Arm length from acromion (shoulder point) to the center of the wrist. Too much reach causes neck and lower back pain. Too little feels cramped and reduces control. Flexibility matters — stiff riders need shorter reach and less drop.
